Sweet Zebra

O.M.G...aren't these Rebecca Taylor zebra print shorts the most divine slice of heaven you've ever seen? So, so adorable. What I like best about them, is that it actually feels like you are wearing a swing skirt, which works better for me...I'd love to say I wear mini shorts with ease! They work with the season's new neutrals and will give you a definite edge...zebra is no tiger, nor no leopard! Team with Loeffler Randall honeydew ankle boots from netaporter.com to complete the outfit.

Heavenly Helena...

Could Helena Christensen look any more beautiful against this blue-glass ocean? The Odd Molly Summer '09 Ad Campaign is husky, hazy, heavenly. Femininity personified, I want to be on a beach right now...in a pastel pink girly dress, wrapped up in a lush silk scarf, with tassled beach hair perfection.

Hussein Chalayan collaborates with J Brand

An exciting collaboration is taking place between UK-based designer Hussein Chalayan and J Brand’s Susie Crippen and Jeff Rudes. They will join forces to create an affordable collection for Fall ’09 available at exclusive boutiques around the world. With the simplicity and clean lines of J Brand, together with Hussein’s distinct use of detail and innovative design, the combination should prove interesting indeed.
Chalayan, a supremely talented designer and a proven visionary in the fashion industry has pushed the boundaries with his avant-garde ideas, inspired by architecture, science and technology. His Fall 2009 RTW collection gave the fashion world something to talk about as he moved with the trends and presented an edgy collection of sexy dresses with sky-high hemlines, structured tailoring and sharp suiting.
Not the designer we would initially expect J Brand to acquire, however Chalayan certainly packs a punch in the fashion world when he was appointed creative director of Puma for fashion giant PPR (Gucci). He has proven to have enormous selling power in the industry and this partnership could give J Brand even more killer edge, with the twist we’ve been waiting for!

Get the look...

The obsession continues...Balmain’s S’09 runway collection blitzed the opening of Paris Fashion Week and gave the industry an electrifying dose of rock-chic glamour. Christolphe Decarnin is a true genius (and the most gorgeous, over sized, gentle Frenchman ever). His crystal laden bandage wrap dresses, Michael Jackson military style jackets, sky-high studded diamante sandals and seriously stonewashed jeans made for an insatiable show that left the fashion world begging for more. Want the look? Easy. Start with the Rare velvet trim jacket, mix in the American Vintage lilac tank and add J Brand’s stonewashed Thrasher jean. Voila!

Sweet Scent...

I am a little secretive when it comes to my perfume. If anyone asks, it's usually "a little bit of this, a little bit of that", then quickly move on to the next subject before I am forced to be honest. So strong however, has my friend's reactions been to my wearing Badgley Mischka's Eau De Parfum, that I simply had to share it with you. At first scent, it's a little floral for my liking. But as the fragrance matures, the romance sets in and even moi felt the allure of Hollywood glamour. Purchased purely out of love for Mr Badgley and Mr Mischka, it turned out I stumbled across a winner. I might take myself, my scent and my husband out for dinner tonight and see if it really works.

Oh so lovely...

I am always so excited when American Vintage arrives...it's just such a delectable brand. The layering possibilities are endless and it's nice to incorporate oh-so-soft knitwear with whimsical cotton pieces for the new season. Carbone, light greys, lilac and white...pure bliss! I am in love with the advertising campaign for Winter 09, it's even better than the last one...

Street Smart

I have to be honest, Gwyneth doesn't always look chic on the street. It's usually a staple of yoga mat, sweats and a brown paper Macro bag (not that a Macro bag isn't uber). However, seen recently in New York she looks street smart. Snapped in black and blue Bruiser J Brand skinnies, a velvet trim jacket and suede lace-up ankle boots, Gwyn cuts a cool silhouette. We can't forget to mention her splash of magenta, Tod's Restyle D-Bag Media Tote that has travelled with her from coast to coast...literally.

Animalism...

I wore my Rebecca Taylor leopard print t-shirt dress walking down the street the other day and had a million glances my way...Teamed with cream booties, loads of CC Skye jewellery and my oversized sunglasses, I felt a rare animalistic moment and it felt good! Only in leopard print...I've decided there are definitely not enough t-shirt dresses in my wardrobe, I forgot how comfortable they were. The same can't be said for my feet in those booties, but it was most definitely worth it.
